Husband & Wife Team
Both are internationally recognized authorities on career and life planning. They've owned several businesses that have helped thousands of people make their way through significant life transitions. They recognize the crisis baby boomers will soon face if they don't plan for the non-financial aspects of their retirement lives.
Joan Strewler-Carter
Co-founder
Former president of the Heartland Region of Right Management Consultants, the world's largest career transition firm, she is co-founder of Life Options institute, an organization devoted to helping individuals plan for life after age 50. Previously, she founded and served as president of a Minneapolis-based career management firm.
Ms. Strewler-Carter has served as president of the Association of Outplacement Consulting Firms of North America and is founder and past-president of the Association of Career Professionals International. She also served on the board of governors of the Institute of Career Certification International.
A certified retirement coach and certified career counselor, she and her husband co-authored the new What's Next in Your Life? book and workbook that are available on www.WhatsNextInYourLife.com .
Mr. Carter acquired the Heartland Region of Right Management, the world's largest career transition firm in 1990; his projects included career transition, organizational effectiveness, corporate restructuring, executive coaching, leadership development, and mergers and acquisitions consulting.
Mr. Carter started his career at Hallmark Cards where he developed and executed a succession planning process and created a comprehensive management development program to support succession planning.
Having had an ongoing TV segment on career issues for more than 10 years, he has been sought out by the media as a recognized expert on career and life transition/planning.
Mr. Carter received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Nichols College. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army and was awarded the Bronze Star and several Vietnam Campaign medals.
